Top Winter Events in Cannon Beach and Seaside, Oregon

We won’t pretend that it’s sunny and warm year-round at the coast, but we will say that no matter the season there are plenty of events in Seaside and Cannon Beach to entertain visitors.  Below is a list highlighting some main events.  Take a look, and plan a getaway to the coast.  We have two hotels in Cannon Beach, one in Seaside and a B & B in Seaside as well.  Visit our website here.

FridayNightJanuary 20th and 21st Seaside A Capella Festival  at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center.   Two evening shows including Friday night where A Capella groups compete for prize money. Deke Sharon will be holding a master class this weekend; he is heralded as “The Father of Contemporary A Cappella,” he produced the “Sing Off” show, is an author and a capella’s top music arranger.

February 12th A Sweet Affaire at the Seaside Convention Center.  This annual sweet retreat is a fundraiser for the Sunset Empire Parks and Recreation Department and the Seaside Rotary Foundation. Enjoy signature appetizers, tempting treats, wine and beer 100_3350tasting, live music and live & silent auctions.

 

February 23rd-26th Seaside Jazz Festival:  Formerly called the Oregon Dixieland Jubilee, the festival has been in business for 34 years.  The main festival starts on Friday afternoon and runs until Sunday afternoon.  There is a special Thursday night performance to kick things off with a featured band. Enjoy ragtime, Dixieland, Traditional Jazz, and Swing.  Each band, or performer, plays multiple sets throughout the Festival, moving between venues. These sets typically average at least an hour.  There are five featured venues and all the venues are located in the downtown area of Seaside.  All are within easy walking distance of one another, or there is a free shuttle service running between them

February 24th-27th Cannon Beach Yoga Festival.  Join for the CBYF_SOCIAL3 (1)weekend or just one day or just one workshop or event!  The festival is open to people of all experience from beginners to teachers.  The workshops will happen at a variety of venues in Cannon beach.

March 9th-12th  Savor Cannon Beach is a four day event of Northwest wine and cuisine.  Restaurants, galleries and shops add a weekend full of tastings, special dinners and cultural events. A Wine Walk allows you to taste wines from approximately 40 Northwest wineries as you make the rounds of Cannon Beach art galleries, shops, restaurants and hotels.

March 18th Pouring at the Coast & Homebrew Competition at the Seaside Civic Center.  More than 60 types of craft beer have been poured over the years, representing nearly 30 breweries in the region.
